Our main priority and passion is Pet Parent Education!

What is the one goal that all pet owners should have? To have a better relationship with your dog! Arf! Academy is centered around the idea of relationship building for you and your pet. The foundation of training? Trust. Without it, you have nothing. Can I teach your dog to sit? Yes. Am I going to? No... Well, yes, I'm going to help you teach your pet(s) basic commands - if thats what you need - But again, I want to strongly reiterate that I focus on confidence building, trust exercises, and making the bond between you and your best friend better. Together, we are going to set your dog up for success. 

Remember: this isn't simply a business relationship. I want us to collaborate. I want the ideas and our training sessions to be yours. Sure, I have pre-planned programs that you can sign up for, but what better way to "train" your dog, than coming up with the training yourself. You know your dog in and out. You live with them every day. I am simply here to guide you.

If you're looking for someone to take your dog for an hour and give it back to you completely perfect with a sharp heel and 100% recall, I'm not the trainer for you.

If you're not willing to put in the work, I'm not the trainer for you.

If you want to turn your dog into a robot, I'm not the trainer for you. Maybe look into a literal robot dog, they have those now and they seem to be quite popular.

My training methods and the way that I will teach you to interact with your dog will take time, effort, and dedication. If you're in it for the long haul, I promise the things that I will teach you are so, so worth it.

I'm going to give you long term results, long term trust, long term everything. But in order to gain the results that I seek for you, it will take time.

I know by now I sound like a broken record, but I really do need to make sure that the message comes across clearly. I'm not here for immediate results. And if thats what you need, I'm not the right trainer for you. This is about collaboration, remember? It's about understanding and communicating better with your dog. Quite simply: It's about your dog.

• I require a 20-30 minute consultation BEFORE I work with you and your dog. This is so we can come up with a training program that works best for you and your dog. I would also like to give you, as well as myself, the chance to get to know each other and decide if I am the right trainer for you.

*Please note, while we do want to be able to help every pet parent, there are some limitations. Arf! Academy cannot train for protection work, guardian work, police work, etc. We cannot help with SEVERE  behavior modification. This includes: Human aggression, Animal aggression, Food/Resource guarding, etc. If you're not sure if your dog has an "issue" that we can or cannot help with, please shoot us a message*
